The plastic bottle, outer cage and pallet work together as the package. A damaged valve, weakened base or contaminated closure can affect safe movement even where the cage looks sound. Part-filled units need their contents identified separately from the packaging, so a recycling enquiry accurately covers the waste present.

Reconditioning and material recovery
Reuse through a suitable cleaning and inspection process differs from separating materials for recovery. The receiving facility must establish acceptance before either outcome is promised. Washing unknown residues into site drainage is not a preparation method, and a former chemical IBC should not be assumed suitable for water storage merely because it has been rinsed.
Recycling claims and end use
A used container’s future use cannot be inferred from its original capacity or an externally clean cage. The receiving process considers the former contents and the bottle’s condition before reuse or material separation. We keep those outcomes distinct, including units unsuitable for either. The customer should understand the confirmed route rather than receive an unsupported promise that every IBC will be reused.

Can any empty IBC be reused for water?
Previous chemical contents can make reuse unsuitable. A rinse does not establish that it is fit for water storage.
Will every IBC be recycled?
The condition and receiving acceptance determine whether reuse, material recovery or another route is appropriate.
Should I wash an IBC before collection?
Do not wash unknown residues into drainage. Any cleaning must be agreed with management of the resulting contaminated liquid.
Is reconditioning the same as recycling the plastic?
No. Reconditioning seeks suitable reuse, while material recycling treats the separated materials.
Can a damaged cage affect collection?
Yes. The whole package must remain suitable for safe movement.
